I expect payment of fees on the day of treatment. You can pay by credit card, check, or cash.
If you do not know before your initial visit if you have acupuncture coverage or not, payment for the session is expected.
I am a Preferred Provider for Blue Cross Blue Shield. Check with BCBS to find out if you have acupuncture benefits under your plan. My Billing Specialist can also find out for you. We need your BCBS ID number, your birthdate, the 800 number on the back of the card for providers or benefits.
If your insurance is not BCBS but has acupuncture benefits, I will file the claim for you out-of-network. I will charge you the co-pay the day of treatment.
Health Savings’ Accounts will accept acupuncture.
Personal Injury Protection in the state of Maryland will pay for acupuncture services. So, if you have pain/ injury after a car accident, think about trying acupuncture.
Medicare does not pay for acupuncture. But if you have a secondary coverage that has acupuncture benefits, I will file claims for you.
Out of courtesy to patients who are waiting to come in for an appointment, I require at least 24 hours notice if you are unable to make an appointment. I charge $60 for missed appointments and late calls.
